MID YEAR GRADING - WEDNESDAY 10TH JULY, 2013

Hi everyone,

The Mid Year Grading for all members will be held on Wednesday, 10 Jul 2013. Please review and/or discuss with your child.

Junior/Kiddies: 5.30pm - 6.45pm

Other Classes: 7.00-8.30pm

Grading Fees: $20.00 Juniors and students, $30.00 Adults. Attendees must be suitably attired in Karate Gi and Belt, and paid up financial members.

For grading requirements, the following applies for your present rank:

White Belts (ungraded and 9th kyu 1 stripe) -

Warmups,

Standing Basics (Kihon),

Moving Basics (Ido)

Kata Drill: Kihon dai Ichi by numbers

Regular attendance

Theory questions from the website

Yellow Belts (8th & 7th Kyu)

As above, plus

Kata Drill Kihon Dai ichi No count

Kata Gekisai Dai Ichi by numbers

Basic Yakusoku Kumite

Orange Belt (6th Kyu)

As above, plus

Kata Gekisai Dai Ichi No Count

Kata Gekisai Dai Ni by numbers

Randori

Green Belt (5th & 4th Kyu)

The Kata and Kata applications are all part of the journey into learning how to fight, hence the importance we place on it. Don't limit yourself.

If you're not sure where you stand in regard to the above syllabus requirements, I suggest you come to the remaining sessions before the Grading. Please do not grade yourself. You should address what you do not know, and do not hesitate to ask about anything, however I cannot advise you the result of the grading in advance should you go for it.

If you are not Grading for whatever reason, there'll still be a session for you.
