N.B. Please do not compare your rank directly with the person(s) above or below you. You are not marked against the other person's standard but your own and how close you compare to an acceptable standard for the rank you are at. Age is taken into consideration, as are the combination of Basics, Kata, Power, Training Spirit, Kumite, Attendance and Theory.

The standard of Kata/Applications (Brown belts) at this Grading across the board was "average" with some performing below par for their current rank, and those asked for applications not able to recall what they had been shown in class.

Theory was disappointing with some unable to answer their question(s), even when alternative questions were posed, the answers are all contained in our website, it being obvious that no reading up was done in this respect.

Term 3 has now ended, and there is a 2 week recess before the next term starts.

New members work at their own pace initially until their level of fitness is up to speed. rest assured,it makes no difference if you start now, or delay your start until making your new year's resolution and start next year. Why put off what you can do now til later?

TERM 3 2011

Term 2 has now ended, and there is a 2 week recess from training.

Term 3 commences on Monday 1 August, with the Wednesday classes on 3 August.


During the recess, students should revisit their Basics, Kata and Karate theory. For the theory, you can refer to our website http://www.rembuden.co.nz/

There is no excuse for returning from your break looking inferior in standard to what you looked like before classes ended.

Members and Parents (who provide us with their email addresses) will still be emailled as per normal.
